Some Facts about EXO’s Xiumin Early Discharge
There are a lot of people who are asking about the story behind EXO’s Xiumin early discharge or how is it even possible. Well, there are some interesting facts that you should know about his discharge:
- The reason why EXO’s Xiumin could get his early discharge from the military is that during this pandemic, there is an option given for the army to choose whether they want to finish their military service as per normal procedure or instead they could use the remaining leave days to leave the military sooner than the discharge date. It seems like, Xiumin chose the second option, whereas he is using his remaining leaves so he could leave the army sooner than the schedule.
- Though EXO’s Xiumin has been discharged from the military, his present status is still an army for South Korea and is still serving the military. He just doesn’t need to return to the military base anymore because he’s basically on leaves now.
- Because of the EXO’s Xiumin early discharge and his status as South Korea army, there are some rules that he still needs to follow such as he is not allowed yet to participate in a business or other work.
In other words, though EXO’s Xiumin has got his civilian life back, he is still officially a part of the South Korean army. So, don’t expect him to appear as EXO’s member or do anything related to EXO until his official discharge date, December 6th.
EXO’s Xiumin whose real name is Kim Minseok is the first EXO’s member who has completed his mandatory military service for South Korea’s military. He started his mandatory military service on May 7th, 2019 and during his service in the military, he has participated in the army’s musical entitled Return: The Promise of the Day along with his bandmate EXO’s D.O.
After Xiumin, EXO’s D.O will also complete his mandatory military service and he is expected to be discharged on January 25th, 2020. Will EXO’s D.O get the same option as Xiumin, so he could be discharged soon? Well, let’s hope for EXO’s D.O early discharge too!
