Chogiwa – BTS’s “BE” just released last week and since then this group never stops surprising the fans by hitting the No. 1 in several music charts not only in Korea but also around the world. BTS is a history-maker in the worldwide music industry and never stops being so awesome with their talents.
BTS’s Has Been Nominated for the 2021 Grammy Awards
Being nominated for the Grammy Awards is not a new thing for BTS. In 2018 their album Love Yourself: Tear was nominated in the Best Recording Package category but it wasn’t awarded to the member of BTS instead it was awarded to the album’s art director.
This year is a really big year for BTS because, on November 24th, BTS’ Dynamite has been announced via the official Twitter account of Grammy Awards to be nominated as the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. In other words, this is the first time for the BTS members themselves to be nominated for the 2021 Grammy Awards which will be held on January 31st, 2021.
It wasn’t an easy category to compete since BTS should compete alongside famous musicians such as Taylor Swift ft Bon Iver’s Exile, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga’s Rain on Me, Justin Bieber ft. Quavo’s Intentions, J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and Tainy’s Un Dia.
BTS “BE” A History-maker to Top No. 1 On Billboard 200
After being announced that BTS’s Dynamite has been nominated as the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for the 2021 Grammy Awards, BTS still continues surprising fans around the world, and on November 29th, Billboard announced that BTS “BE” to top No. 1 On Billboard 200.
It became the big mark that BTS is a history maker and became the only Korean boy group and a boy group that could save the top no. 1 on billboard 200 not only one album but two albums in 2020. The record belongs to Young Boy Never Broke Again who is a soloist.
To add more achievements of BTS and make BTS as a history maker is aside from their two albums hit the No. 1 on billboard 200 in 2020, “BE” is actually the fifth album of BTS to hit the top Billboard 200 and make them the first Korean artist with five different albums to top Billboard 200 in only two years and six months. This record belongs to The Beatles when their five albums hit the Billboard 200 in 1966 – 1968.
Paul McCartney Mentioned BTS in A Recent Podcast
One more exciting thing about BTS is there are a lot of famous musicians are starting to looking at them and in the recent Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes’s Podcast “SmartLess” Paul McCartney even mentioned BTS.
During the podcast, Paul McCartney pointed to BTS as the artist that came to his mind when he was asked about the current pop trend he listened because of ‘that true artistry’.
Ha also added “For me, it’s not really because of the music like it is for the fans, but for me. It’s just seeing some young kids go through what we went through. BTS – Korean guys. I like watching them and seeing what’s going on. I think they’re good”. Though he also mentioned that he can’t sing any of BTS’s songs but he likes them.
With all these achievements, BTS has proven that they have been working really hard and deserved all the supports. BTS is a history-maker in the worldwide music industry and it seems like they are not stopping in any time soon.
