Chogiwa – Twice on Billboard 200 as the 2nd Kpop Girl group on the chart after Blackpink. Currently, the highest-ranking K-pop girl group on the Billboard 200 is Blackpink’s album BORN PINK in the past year. In particular, the total sales of the READY TO BE album and streaming reached 153,000 copies.
According to JYP Entertainment, this is the largest number of any K-pop girl group. At the same time, TWICE will hold the fifth largest world tour “READY TO BE” starting in April this year.
Starting with the Seoul performance on April 15th and 16th, the group plans to hold 17 solo concerts. The concerts will take place in 14 cities in South Korea, Australia, Japan, and North America to meet fans. This year is going to be the busiest year of Twice.

Twice debuted on October 20, 2015 with the extended play (EP) The Story Begins as part of the TV show Sixteen (2015).
With the single “Cheer Up”, they reached No. 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, won Best Performed Single of the Year twice, and won the Melon Music Award and Song of the Year in 2016.
With their debut studio album Twicetagram and its lead single “Likey,” released in 2017, Twice is the first Korean female artist to top both Billboard’s World Albums and World Digital Song Sales charts.
Twice is most notable for their consistent use of the notion of “cuteness,” a style furthered by the group’s bubblegum-pop sound, which is seen as a departure from the usual norms available to their former label mates and other girl groups Wonder Girls. The retro music style is seen and Miss A. However, later the group has been developing a signature “color pop” style. A style that is described as a combination of rock, R&B, and hip-hop.
So, Twice on Billboard 200 as the 2nd Kpop Girl Group is not a surprise at all.
