It has been confirmed by KBS that “Imitation” will air in May 2021 as KBS’s Friday drama. Right now, the Friday slot drama is occupied by “Dear M”. The drama will air for the first time on May 21st up to August 6th. Unfortunately, there is only one episode every week. So, the on-going team should be patiently waiting for the drama every week.
The Synopsis of “Imitation”
“Imitation” is a drama adapted from a popular webtoon with the same title. Though there is no clear information about how the plot is going on. However, the story is not really far from the webtoon.
The synopsis of “Imitation” in the original webtoon is about a girl named Ma Ha who got so popular in one night just because she looks similar to a popular singer, La Li Ma. Though she becomes popular, she receives so much hates. Among the haters is a multi-talented idol name Kwon Ryeok from a popular group band SHAX. However, due to some circumstances, both Kwon Ryeok and Ma Ha always in the same projects that force them to meet often. Ma Ha is so afraid of Kwon Ryeok while after some time, Kwon Ryeok is starting to develop a feeling toward Ma Ha. The more he knows about her, the more he likes her.
“Imitation” Is A Musical Drama Full of Talents
“Imitation” is predicted to be the next “Dream High”. A decade of “Dream High”, KPop fans must be in hunger to watch a drama that is full of idols, visuals, and talents.
This drama is no exception. Jun U-Kiss as Kwon Ryeok and Jung Ji So from Parasite as Maha are enough to draw attention. Not only that but “Imitation” is also full of idols. There are four ATEEZ members who become part of the cast. Which will make ATINY super excited. Two members of SF9, Chan Hee and Hwi Young. T-ARA’s Park Ji Yeon will take the role of La Li Ma, a famous solo singer. Moreover, there are also some senior idols from the previous generation of KPop such as Danny Ahn from G.O.D and Shim Eun Jin from Baby V.O.X.
In the meantime, Imitation is in the middle of the shooting process. Though KBS’s Imitation confirmed to Air in May 2021, hopefully, there is no such thing that will delay the process. So, fans could see their favorite characters in live-action versions.
