Chogiwa – It is a common thing for idols to role in a movie or drama. There are a lot of idols turn actors who finally better known as actors instead of idols. However, usually, only one or two members of a group could act in the same drama or movie. Recently, the new KBS’s drama announced something unusual. It is not only one or two members of an idol group who will role in their newest drama. There are four ATEEZ members will role in “Imitation”. So, obviously, ATINY are super excited to see their idols in a drama adapted from a popular webtoon with the same title.
Four ATEEZ Members Will Role in “Imitation”
“Imitation” is a popular webtoon that depicts about the life of idols. The drama “Imitation” is packed with idols. Actor Jun U-KISS or also better known as Lee Jun Young will take the role of Kwon Ryeok and Jung Ji So as Ma-Ha. There are also some idols from several idol groups such as SF9 and Boys Republic but only ATEEZ has four members in this high-anticipated drama in 2021. Before the drama air in May 2021, let’s get to know them a bit closer.
#1 Yun Ho
The first member from the four ATEEZ members will role in “Imitation” is Jeong Yun Ho. His position in ATEEZ is a vocalist and main dancer. All ATEEZ members are the visuals and Yun Ho is no exception. “Imitation” is going to be his debut drama but already he got the lead character.
In drama “Imitation” Yun Ho will take role of Yoo Jin, member of boy group Sparkling. He is the close friend of Ma Ha and has a feeling for her. It is obvious that he is going to be a sad boy in this drama but still his character is prominent in this drama.
#2 Jong Ho
Jong Ho is the main vocalist of ATEEZ and in “Imitation” he will become the member of SHAX named Hyeok. SHAX is the most popular group idol in the story. His character in the drama will become the cheerful one and the maknae of SHAX. Well, since in reality he is also the makane of ATEEZ, so he will portray the character perfectly.
In the drama, Hyeok becomes the first member of SHAX that closes to Ma Ha because they often work together. He is also really close to character Kwon Ryeok (Lee Jun Young).
#3 Seong Hwa
The third member among the four ATEEZ members will role in “Imitation” is Seong Hwa. In ATEEZ he is the vocalist and in drama “Imitation” he will take role of Se Young. Se Young is the leader of idol group Sparkling. In the webtoon his character is not described really well. However, from several scenes, Se Young is a caring leader and always be there for their members.
In ATEEZ, Seong Hwa himself is the oldest member. In other words, he is the perfect choice for the Se Young character since he is the leader of Sparkling.
#4 San
Choi San who is better known for his stage name San is the last member of ATEEZ who will join the cast of “Imitation”. In the drama, he is also going to be part of a group idol Sparkling named Min Soo. If the character is similar to webtoon, San will portray the character of Min Soo perfectly. Min Soo is described as a member of Sparkling with so much energy and really likes to play around.
Drama “Imitation” is going to be the next big hit after the decade of Dream High. KBS has confirmed that “Imitation” will air in May 2021. One of the reasons why this drama is becoming one of the most anticipated dramas in 2021 is because this drama about the life of idols. Each of the character is unique and the story is also really great.
Furthermore, the one who is sitting in the director’s seat is Han Hyun Hee who once succeed with “Solomon’s Perjury” and “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung”. While the writer of the webtoon Park Kyung Ran will join the lineup of screenwriters along with writer Choi Sun-Young and Kim Min Jung.
